This is a sneak-peak of a work in progress. I’ve just finished a 5-page adaptation of Anthony Brugess’s Clockwork Orange for The Graphic Canon comics anthology. It was going to be a massive challenge re-telling Burgess’s Clockwork Orange as Kubrick had already bought such a strong and famous style to it. So I decided to move away from the film and towards the book- the waistcoats, novelty jelly-mould codpieces and masks of Elvis, Disraeli, Shelly and Henry VIII worn by the gang in Burgess’s original descriptions. I distorted the faces on Photoshop and ended up casting myself in the roll of the woman, being frightened by my own freaky drawings.
